Volunteer Educational Programs
We are always in need of people to help at educational programs. We conduct programs for schools, scout troups, associations and more. Our director is usually the speaker for those events. Helpers are needed to help set up, pass out literature, handle the animals (when necessary) and help clean up.
We also have a community outreach program. Four times a year some of our volunteers canvass a low-income area going door to door offering advise and passing out literature. We always go in pairs to doors. Volunteers would learn as they went from a seasoned volunteer. It's a great way to educate people about how to better care for their animals in a positive manner.
